Simple Cocktail Recipes with 5 or Less Ingredients

Warm weather is the best time to break out fun and tasty cocktails. However, some drinks are more complicated than they need to be. So instead of trying to walk you through unnecessarily complicated steps for drinks, we are keeping it really simple. Here are some refreshing, delicious drinks with 5 ingredients or less.

White Russian

The White Russian is decadent and sophisticated. Combining vodka, Kahlúa and cream and serving it on the rocks create a delicious alternative to adult milkshakes.

Ingredients

2 ounces of Vodka

1 ounce of Kahlúa

Heavy cream

Directions:

Add the vodka and Kahlúa to an Old Fashioned glass with ice.

Top with a large splash of heavy cream and stir.

Manhattan

This is a classic drink named after the New York Bureau. Created in a bar in the 1860’s this cocktail has stood the test of time.

Ingredients

3 ounces of rye whiskey

1 ounce of sweet vermouth

3 dashes of Angostura bitters

1 maraschino cherry

Directions

Mix whiskey, vermouth, and bitters in a shaker with ice. Stir to chill. Strain into a martini glass, or a rocks glass with ice. To finish, garnish with a cherry.

Tequila Sunrise

This drink is beautiful, bright and citrusy on your tongue. Perfect for a garden party or winding down with friends, grab these ingredients and go.

Ingredients

1.5 tequila

0.5 grenadine

orange juice

Directions

Pour your tequila, a third as much grenadine as tequila, and add as much orange juice as you’d like, modify it to your tastes.

Serve your drinks on the rocks in a water glass.

Pina Colada

The pina colada is a very popular tropical cocktail and one that you can serve blended or shaken. This concoction perfected in the Caribbean is all about the right blend of pineapples and coconut topped off with rum!

Ingredients:

2 ounces​ white rum

3 ounces ​​pineapple juice

1 1/2 ounces ​​cream of coconut

1/4 ounce ​​fresh lime juice

1 cup ice

Garnish: maraschino cherry

Garnish: pineapple wedge

Directions

The recipe is incredibly simple, requiring just a few common ingredients. Toss it all in the blender, give it a good whirl, and you will have the freshest, most delicious pina colada possible.


Cranberry Orange Mimosa Belini

The Cranberry Orange Mimosa is a nice tangy drink that’s this easy 3 ingredient cocktail recipe is perfect for brunch or even as a bellini at a cocktail party!

Ingredients

2 cups of cranberry juice

1 cup of juice

1 bottle of champagne or prosecco 

Directions

Add juices to a pitcher, then add the bottle of sparkling wine. Garnish with cranberries and orange slices.

Watermelon Margarita

Watermelon Margarita

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups watermelon juice (1 small ripe watermelon yields ~3-5 cups juice)

2 1/2 Tbsp lime juice

5 Tbsp silver tequila (5 Tbsp = 2 1/2 ounces)

sea salt (optional for lining rim)

Instructions

  1. Pack a large blender full of cubed ripe watermelon (with or without seeds) and blend until you have a juice. If you want to cut the watermelon quickly, you can use this stainless steel watermelon slicer. 

  • 2. One small watermelon should yield roughly 3-5 cups so you will have leftover juice  for extra margaritas. You can choose to strain the juice through a fine mesh strainer to remove any seeds or pulp, but it’s not necessary

    1. 3. To make margaritas, add watermelon juice, lime juice, tequila, a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously to combine. Sample a small amount and adjust flavor as needed, adding more watermelon juice for sweetness, lime juice for acidity, or tequila to taste.
